"My son was being picked on at school and we decided to give karate a try. This was by far a great decision for him. They have given him the confidence in himself to stick up for not only himself but others as well. He has found his voice to be vocal when he doesn't agree with others. He now has so much pride in himself and a much stronger positive attitude. His effort in school has improved and has a strong yes I can attitude. We are grateful for all that waverly martial arts have done for him so far and can't wait to see what the future brings."

"When my daughter told me she was interested in trying martial arts, I was a bit nervous to be honest. I remember my experience as a child was somewhat mixed in terms of how it made me feel about myself and what was required. Waverly Martial Arts has been nothing but positive, encouraging and supportive. I like that the little ones don’t have to spar each other, but they do have partner work to hone their skills. They play games to learn some skills and are very well entertained. The amount of movement & exercise is top notch, not to mention, there is often music playing, and I can’t help but rock out during the entire class. This has been an excellent experience & I’m hopeful that my son will show interest one day as well! This school is outstanding."

"My newly turned 3 year old daughter had her first class last night and we left blown away by the experience. She was the youngest and tiniest one there, but all of the older boys and girls were so sweet and welcoming of her. From how we were greeted when we got there, to the patience and kindness of the staff with a toddler, we are so glad this is the school we chose for our girl. She fell asleep in her bed 10 minutes after class which is a win in itself! They are running a really wonderful school here and my daughter already can’t wait to go back again. Looking forward to more classes and years with WMA!"

"We’ve been going to WMA for 5 years and we’re very happy with it. My boys are engaged and they work hard. They’ve learned how to defend themselves, set goals and have self confidence. The staff has been consistent, with the same core for the entire time we’ve been there. I think that says a lot about them. Highly recommend!"

"We Love Waverly Arts!. Family owned and operated, and they care about your children. Sensei Grace is an amazing teacher who herself is a product of Waverly Martial Arts starting as a kid. Our daughter started in February and has fallen in love with Karate; increasing her focus, discipline and learning. She even takes her karate lessons and transfers them to her nursery class teaching her classmates how to increase the same. We can’t wait to see her grow in her martial arts journey with Waverly Martail Arts!!! Choose Waverly Martial Arts, you won’t be dissappointed!"

"My son and his two friends all signed up together, and we all wish we could give more than 5 stars! The classes are so fun and engaging for the kids. Even the littles on the sidelines like to try doing it too. They’re not only learning awesome martial arts skills, they’re learning to believe in themselves and be the best version of themselves they can be! My son’s confidence has skyrocketed since starting only a few months ago. I owe WMA the biggest thanks ever for all they do!"

"We became part of the WMA family January 20th of 2021. My son was always talking negatively about himself, and had a hard time believing he could accomplish anything he’d never tried. If he gave his all in a task, it was never enough, and expected more from himself. He was not the most coordinated person when it came to physical activities. Always thought of asking for help as a weakness. All of this has changed. He speaks highly of himself now, he’s constantly pointing out his accomplishments, and if he needs to work on something, he looks at it as an opportunity to learn and grow. Anytime he says he can’t do something, I ask him what we say at WMA, “YES I CAN”, and he keeps trying. He thinks of himself as a strong and capable individual because he can ask for help. And his physical strength and coordination training is just the icing on the cake. My son feels loved, wanted, happy, and safe and has a sense of belonging at this dojo. He is all smiles (and sweat) after class, if he’s had a bad day in life, he looks forward to going to karate. As a parent, I have been leaning on our senseis and asking for help before I hit a dead end. We are truly a big happy family. Thank you all!!!"

"I have been bringing my son and daughter to Waverly Martial Arts for about 6 months now. Within this short period of time I’ve seen a dramatic shift in discipline and confidence. My son now makes eye contact when speaking and that shows me his self esteem has improved. I’ve actually witnessed my daughter take calm breaths and get refocused when struggling with homework. In fact, I’ve even witnessed positive self talk when struggling with the homework saying “YES I CAN” which is what they are practicing every single karate class, multiple times per class. Those 3 words are extremely powerful and it shows! My wife and I are over the moon impressed with the results since starting. People look at karate as an “expense”. We look at it as an “investment” into our children’s future. We are so happy we were referred to WMA from a friend. On top of that, the staff is extremely friendly, patient, and motivating."

"My son has been attending classes here for a few months now and it has been a wonderful experience. The teachers bring so much fun and positivity while also teaching focus and discipline. We also just had his birthday party here and it was amazing. From start to finish the kids were engaged playing fun games and the staff took care of everything. They made my son feel like a rock star, getting to help lead the games, break a board with his karate moves and cut his cake with a samurai sword! Highly recommend!"

"Waverly Martial Arts is exactly what I was looking for! I was in the market for a new activity for my son to help build confidence and strength (mental & physical). After my first appointment to check out the studio and classes I knew this was it. The owners & staff are so wonderful there. This is a completely different environment & activity I’ve ever had my son join and they have been nothing but patient & helpful with all my questions. "My son absolutely loves it there and looks forward to going. The keeps the kids really engaged and keep them focused on the class and what they are learning. The classes are fairly large but they have plenty of people leading the class and they all get a fair amount of attention. They run these kids around and help burn off alot of his energy. Would without a doubt recommend Waverly to anyone interested."

"Looking for great curriculum? Looking to build up your child's self esteem? Help them with discipline and integrity, social skills and self motivation? Well my child needed all of this and got it and then some. My child has been going to WMA for 2 years now and it has changed her life and ours, oh and not to mention WMA got our child into shape and taught her some serious self defense moves. The staff is amazing, very helpful and very accomodating. Even as parents not students, we learned alot about our child through WMA. I hope that my child sticks with this for the rest of her life.
